Where is the best/quietest resort on the Egyptian side of the Red Sea, but still with diving facilities etc?
We want to go to the Red Sea next month and would like to learn how to scuba dive, but dont particularly want to be in a huge complex or on a packed beach surrounded by screaming kids. Help!
Unfortunately, anywhere you go next month will have packed beaches but so far i have never seen a goat "Screaming kids" as you referred!! ...... If your refering to "Screaming children" well yes they most certainly will be frequenting the beaches, they have as much right as anybody... It is, after all, the School holidays + there are a lot of families living in Egypt who frequent the beaches, daily, with their children!!!!

Probably the best part for you to visit will be Taba... this is less commercialised than any other Tourist part of Egypt.... The Hilton Taba, has it's own dive centre with qualified instructors....the hotel is in a nice position, comfi rooms, good facilities etc.

Unfortunately, you may see rather a lot of kids....when we stayed there we passed a camp not far from the border & they breed them!!! LOL!!!
