Best time of year to go to the great barrier reef?

hey, i was thinking about diving / snorkelling in the great barrier reef in july & august. i hear a lot about jellyfish so i was wondering if those months are alright? and should i travel farther north or south? i do prefer warm weather, thanks.

Those months are perfect and the weather at that time is great. Still just a bit humid but that's because it's always humid there. No stingers at that time.
