Cozumel hotel with unlimited diving for Tgiving?
Hello. I'm trying to find a last minute 3 night package for Tgiving to Cozumel. I found a good rate at the Occdental Allegro and Fiesta American dive resort (about $100 per night) but was wondering if these resorts have unlimited shore diving? I am more interested in the diving then I am the all inclusive but I am going solo and really want to just dive and relax instead of walking/cabing it to town and figuring out the restaurants on my own. Any other thoughts or suggestions? Thank you!
Sure, you can shore dive from both those locations, but there's not much to see until you get much further out. It's the same with all the hotels/resorts south of town. It's a very long swim to the reefs ( I wouldn't try it), but there is some life to see just off the beaches.I notice that only the Allegro seems to offer a dive shop, of the two. Air fills kinda important. On the flip side, the charter outfit I have always used, Equalizers, is a stones throw from the Fiesta.
You can get some of the charter outfits in San Miguel to do a pick up at your choice of hotel , if they have a pier. That's what I've always done as I always stay here http://www.reefclubcozumel.com/ and used http://www.cozumel-diving.net/equalizers/ for a charter outfit. Check first, to see if they require a certain number of divers for pick up. I've always been on a boat that picked up 6 divers. They're cheaper than the Sand Dollar outfit at that resort and have smaller, faster boats. No cattle prods needed.
