Where is your favorite place to scuba dive?
I'm trying to plan my next vacation.
Southern California. Sure, the water is a bit cold, but you have the kelp beds that unless you have dived in them, you have no idea how beautiful they are.
I have dived all around Caribbean, Hawaii and New Zealand. Nothing can compare to the amount and variety of flora and fauna that you can experience from the central and southern coast of California.
Beach dives are good. But I would go any time on a dive boat to Catalina Island. There are many available and the cost is surprising low.
You do have to have your certification card.
