What is Taba Heights really like? For snorkelling/diving?Beaches?
It looks good, as resort quieter than Sharm but worried diving and snorkelling not as good. And do I need to book diving in advance?
I work as a PADI instructor in Sharm and took some days off to dive in Taba last year. I did 3 boat dives. The coral was disappointing, certainly compared with Ras Mohammed or Straits of Tiran. But the small fish life was cool - saw lots of things I haven't seen in nearly 3000 dives in Sharm! These included Red Sea Walkman (scorpion fish family) and mini box-fish that looked exactly like a dice with fins!
Always recommended to book diving in advance for the best rates. Enjoy your trip :)
