How likely is a puppy to travel overseas?

I'm in the Navy, and I'm getting stationed in Guam. My half brother's great dane just had puppies, and they said I could have one. The Military would get him there for free, but think a month old puppy could survive that?
Then, is the question of having a great dane.....in guam..... his dad is HUGE.
but i want him!!!! lol

PLEASE don't take a Great Dane to Guam - what happens if you get transferred?
You know that's what the military does, and dogs get left behind all the time.
There are already dogs on Guam - and having made the trip to that island and back, I can tell you from personal experience - it's a @#$% long trip. I wouldn't ask any dog to do it, much less a baby puppy.

Great Danes are sensitive, and a three month old puppy is still a baby - not only would it be scared, but those long underdeveloped legs could easily be broken. You could end up with a very unhappy, shy dog with a serious othopedic problem.

Please don't do this - it's realy too much to ask of a puppy.

Thank you for your service - when you get there, ask to see the War Dogs cemetery. It's one of the most moving places on earth.
