What is the best way to holiday in Egypt, covering both the Red Sea and Luxor?

Hi there,

I am looking to spend 14 nights in Egypt but would like to divide my time between the Red Sea for diving (possibly Sharm-El-Sheikh) and also Luxor for the Egyptian ruins and Pyramids.

I believe these are quite some distance from one another so could anyone suggest the best way of doing the above in the best and cheapest possible way.

The Ideal 14 days trip to Cairo is:

1 days Cairo, 1 Day Alexandria and back to Cairo, 4 days Hurghada, and 7 days Nile cruise then back to Cairo.

With a good tour operator (www.sportsvoyages.com for example), this package will not be expensive.

But if you want to arrange it more cheaper, then 3 days in Cairo, one of them in Alexandria, 3 days in Hurghada (a 3 stars hotel will make it nice), and the Nile cruise 7 days.

I don't think this trip should cost you more than 600 sterling pounds + your pocket money.
