Scuba Diving In Aruba

Sint Maarten, ABC, or some other island(s)?

I'm planning to fly from the middle east to the caribbean to hang out with my Dad (he'll be flying from central US). Less travel time is a big plus, and I'm a fan of Holland, so the Dutch West Indies via Amsterdam on KLM is probably my route of choice. So, where should I take my Dad?

We'll want to do some lounging on the beach and at the pool-bar in the hotel. Maybe some scuba diving, definitely some snorkeling. If there's a casino, we might stop in for a minute, but neither of us gamble.

Right now, I'm leaning towards Aruba... what do you think?
It may not have been clear, but I'm not in the US, and would prefer to fly as direct as possible (probably through AMS) from BAH or DMM.

Well since you were planning on one of the Netherlands Antilles, and seeing the things you want to do, I would recommend you Curacao. There are great hotels, most with their won scuba facility and easy beach access to snorkeling sites. The casinos are well equipped and there is a lot to see and do.
